Do
you need to keep the home button, heat shield, and camera attached when I send
them back?
We, nor our competitors to our knowledge care if the
heat shield, home button and camera pre-installed onto the LCD and generally
out of courtesy should let their customer know that it’s not a requirement if
asked. Most companies, like us, have each LCD tested manually before a purchase.
How long does it generally take to have my LCDs tested?
Because of the high demand and pricing that has caused
a price surge on the buyback program, it definitely takes couple business days
before you can get your results back. Please keep in mind that each LCD has to
be fully tested and functional so it can takes few hours for each company
depending on their scale or recycled LCDs.
Why
don’t you pay half upfront?
Although some people’s comment theoretically sounds good to pay
half upfront, no company will do it just because it is a risk out there of how
much and if any are good. Generally, any company should allow you to give you
your LCDs back if you aren’t satisfied with the results.
How
do I know that the results are accurate?
We tend to hear this from time to time that they checked each
LCD and everything worked great when they shipped it. However, most companies
including us tend to look for any other sign of spot that may cause the LCD to
not be fully functional or defective. Our best way of telling any customer who
ships us their recycled LCDs to package it nicely and safely so there’s less
damage of the Flex cable and the LCD. Second, put a hidden indicator somewhere
where we can’t tell or notice, that way when you request for those LCDs back,
you will know if they are yours. Third, unfortunately delivery couriers aren’t
worried if it’s something fragile in your box or not, they could be damaged
upon transit if not packed right. In the future, we will have a testing video
of each individual testing from the time of opening the box to the finish.
Do
you take back after market LCDs for recycle?
Yes, I believe majority of the solid buyback companies will
buy them back from you also. However, most companies do tend to pay less for
them. This reason is because the chances of the LCD being damaged is higher
since it has been already refurbished and assembled before and not the same as
the specification as original.
Do
you buyback LCDs which has a pink center/dust/pressure marks (yellow
bruising)/back-light issue?
Yes. I believe we are one of the only companies that take
these back. Either our competitors haven’t caught up to it or they just aren’t
taking any chances. The pink center occurs when the LCD has been aged for a while.
Dust spot mostly occurs when particles get stuck between the LCD and
back-light. Pressure marks which is also known as yellow bruising is caused by
the impact of the Glass giving pressure between the polarizer and LCD.
Back-light issue mostly consists of a burnt bulb. These issue can be found in
both OEM and Aftermarket LCDs.
What
are the current buyback pricing for IPhone 5 Series and IPhone 6/6 Plus?
Personally
as of today, we have decided to increase it yet again at $23.00 for IPhone 5/5S/5C LCD Buyback. As for IPhone 6/6 Plus LCD, we have increased it now to $23.00
also. To our estimate, just to help the community (we understand your
frustration) the price will increase more on the buyback for Iphone 6/6 Plus Series.
So either, you can hold onto them and sell them once they have increased more. It’s
simple, when the pricing of the LCDs tend to rise, so should the buyback. When
you start to see pricing on the same LCD drop, pricing for the buyback will
